In Newsletter #121, page 9, we inquired about the possible ancestry of one "Arthur C. Sells, MD, 1871-1936."
Saundra Rhyne tells us that he is definitely NOT the son of Rollen and E. Zinith Sell, whose son Arthur is listed as age 9 on the 1880 Greene County, Missouri Census. Their Arthur was born 9 Sept. 1870 in Webster Co., Missouri and died 16 Oct. 1912. He is buried in the Oakville Cemetery in Morrisville, Polk Co., Missouri and was a mail carrier. He married on 18 Nov. 1895 to Alta Gist. The Oakville Cemetery is on land donated by his father Rollen Sell for use as a church, school, and cemetery.
So we are back to square one on this "other" Arthur Sells! And our question remains: who are the parents of the "Arthur C. Sells, M.D., 1871-1936" buried in Mercer County, Illinois?
