May Reunion Planned
Sherri Pforr has sent notice of their upcoming annual Sell Reunion to be held all day Saturday, May 29th, 2004 at the DeMars Center in Peterson Park, in Mattoon, Illinois.
Andrew Sell, 1805-1864, was a son of Nicholas and Mary Gallagher Zell/Sell(s), (Part 11 in our Celle Family Book). They moved their family from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania about 1795 to Franklin County, Pennsylvania; and by 1810 to Preble County, Ohio; and then in 1822/23 to Johnson County, Indiana. Nicholas was a son of Nicholas and Anna Bachman Zell of Lancaster County, PA; and a grandson of emigrant Johan Nicholas Zell, a.1698 – a. 1779, who emigrated from Rehborn, Zweibrucken, Germany in 1740. Andrew Sell and several of his brothers moved their families to Illinois before the Civil War.
